Riyadh: The Supreme Judicial Council convened at its headquarters, chaired by Acting President Sheikh Dr. Walid Al-Samaani and attended by council members. The meeting focused on advancing the judicial process and improving its efficiency.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the council approved draft regulatory rules intended to govern the procedures for forming courts, establishing their circuits, and referring and distributing cases. These new rules are designed to enhance governance and institutional maturity within judicial administration, providing procedural clarity and stability, and improving the efficiency of case distribution and adjudication.

Additionally, the council discussed proposals aimed at refining the procedures for appointing judges. These proposals focus on enhancing the quality of selection, training, and development of judicial personnel. Furthermore, they target the governance and effectiveness of technical offices, aiming to support the quality of judicial work and the efficiency of its outcomes.

The council also examined the integration of artificial intelligence in judicial processes. It reviewed the results of several pilot projects and explored opportunities to leverage AI to streamline procedures, enhance quality, and support data-driven decision-making. The use of AI aims to simplify processes and improve professional competence within the judiciary.

Besides these discussions, the council followed up on the implementation of previous decisions, issued necessary directives, and took appropriate measures concerning various agenda topics. These efforts are within the council's jurisdiction to oversee courts, judges, and their work.
