Al-baha: Photographers in Al-Baha Region find a rich canvas for capturing nature and history, thanks to the region's diverse geography, dense vegetation, heritage villages, and architectural features that preserve the place's details and memory. The scene coincides with World Photography Day, observed annually on August 19.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the landscapes that draw photographers' lenses range from the Sarawat Highlands to the Tihama plains, encompassing forests, mountains, valleys, and agricultural terraces, as well as scenes of fog and rainfall that lend the region ever-changing visual dimensions throughout the seasons.

Heritage sites and villages also feature prominently among the subjects photographed in Al-Baha, with their stone houses, ancient fortresses, inscriptions, and architectural ornamentation offering glimpses into the region's history and the lifestyles of its inhabitants. Among the most renowned sites attracting photographers and heritage enthusiasts is the historic village of Dhee Ayn.

World Photography Day highlights the importance of photography as a visual record that preserves communities' memories, introduces places and depicts their details. At the same time, the lenses of Al-Baha's photographers continue to capture the region's natural and historical diversity and richness.
