TGA Enforces Deportation of Three Violators for Transporting Passengers without Licenses

Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) published summaries of three decisions issued against non-Saudi violators for transporting passengers in private vehicles without obtaining the required licenses. The decisions included fines totaling SAR35,000, in addition to deportation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the TGA said Decision No. (1/Y/2026) was issued against an Egyptian national for transporting passengers in a private vehicle without a license. The decision included a SAR12,000 fine and deportation from Saudi Arabia. Decision No. (4/Y/2026), issued against an Indian national for the same violation, included a SAR12,000 fine and deportation from the Kingdom. Decision No. (5/Y/2026) was issued against a Chadian national for engaging in preparatory activities for transporting passengers in a private vehicle without a license. The decision included an SAR11,000 fine and deportation from Saudi Arabia.

The TGA affirmed that engaging in transport activities without the required regulatory license constitutes a violation of the applicable regulations. It stressed that it will continue its regulatory oversight to curb unlicensed passenger transport practices and enhance compliance across the sector, thereby improving transport service quality and passenger safety.

The TGA noted that the Land Transport Law on Roads prohibits conducting transport activities without obtaining the necessary license and allows decisions issued against non-Saudi violators to include deportation from the Kingdom, in addition to publishing a summary of the decision in accordance with applicable procedures.

The TGA urged beneficiaries to use licensed transport services and establishments and make use of the available regulated transportation options.
