Thunderstorms and Dust-Stirring Winds Forecasted Across Saudi Regions

Riyadh: Thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusty winds are predicted over parts of Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha regions. The National Center for Meteorology has warned that these weather conditions could affect local activities and transportation in these areas.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the weather in the Eastern and Riyadh regions will experience hot temperatures, with gusty winds stirring dust. These winds are expected to reduce horizontal visibility to near zero, especially along the southern coasts of the Makkah Region. The same gusty conditions are anticipated in parts of Najran, Madinah, and Makkah regions.

In the marine forecast, winds over the Red Sea will range from northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 15-45 km/h in the central part and up to 50 km/h in the southern part. The sea conditions will vary, with waves ranging from half a meter to over two meters, indicating calm to choppy waters.

The Arabian Gulf will see northwesterly to westerly winds at speeds of 15-35 km/h in the northern part, and southeasterly to northeasterly winds at speeds of 10-28 km/h in the central and southern parts. Wave heights in the Arabian Gulf are expected to range from half a meter to one meter, suggesting relatively calm sea conditions.
