Saudi Arabia to Showcase Urban Development Initiatives at World Urban Forum in Baku

Baku: Saudi Arabia, led by the Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail, is set to participate in the 13th World Urban Forum in Baku, Azerbaijan. The forum, organized by UN-Habitat, will take place from May 17 to 22, 2026, under the theme "Housing the World: Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities."

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom's delegation will feature a significant national pavilion spanning over 1,000 square meters, representing more than 20 national entities. This pavilion will exhibit Saudi Arabia's notable projects, initiatives, and programs in housing, urban development, quality of life, and real estate investment. Additionally, it will demonstrate the impact of digitalization through platforms like "Sakani" and the role of artificial intelligence in data analysis services. The pavilion will also host a range of specialized sessions, bilateral meetings, and workshops.

During the forum, the Saudi delegation will engage in high-level ministerial and dialogue sessions focusing on urban housing, the future of cities, innovative financing, and the New Urban Agenda. These sessions aim to underline Saudi Arabia's successful experiences in increasing homeownership rates, developing real estate financing, and implementing innovative urban planning solutions. The participation aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives to enhance environmental, social, and economic sustainability across the Kingdom's cities.
