Male: President of the Republic of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Muizzu received the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, with the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the Maldives, Yahya Hassan Alqahtani, also in attendance.

According to Saudi Press Agency, President Muizzu was informed about the activities of the SFD in financing development projects and programs in the Maldives since 1978. The discussions during the meeting focused on enhancing development cooperation between the two sides, aiming to support vital development sectors within the Maldives.

Al-Marshad also engaged in discussions with the Maldivian Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises, Hassan Zareer, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Iruthisham Adam, with the Saudi ambassador present. These meetings centered around the development projects funded by the SFD in the Maldives and explored avenues to further strengthen development cooperation across various sectors.
