The Iranian government announced that the Saudi Monarch had invited President Ibrahim Raisi to visit Riyadh.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani said: "The Saudi Monarch sent an official invitation to the President of the Republic to visit Saudi Arabia, but the date for this visit has not been set."
He continued, "This visit will be planned at the appropriate time within the framework of the political will of the two countries," noting that the relations between the two countries are advancing step by step.
He added that the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian to Saudi Arabia in the near future, and the discussion of various topics and regional, international and economic issues during the visit is on the agenda.
