Baghdad - Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani discussed today, Thursday, with the Algerian Ambassador, legal and judicial relations and the exchange of convicts between Iraq and Algeria.

The Ministry of Justice said in a statement, “Minister Khaled Shawani received today, Thursday, in his official office, the Algerian Ambassador to Baghdad, Jihad al-Din Belkas.”

The statement added, "The two sides discussed legal and judicial relations, including the signing of legal cooperation agreements in judicial matters and the exchange of convicts between Iraq and Algeria."

For his part, the Algerian Ambassador stressed the great openness with Iraq and his country’s support for the Iraqi government, praising the achievements of the Ministry of Justice in various legal and judicial fields.
