The official spokesman for the Kurdistan Regional Government, Peshwa Hawrami, commented on the federal government sending about 600 billion dinars to the regional government.

Hawrami said in a statement today: "We need 912 billion dinars to be sent by the federal government to provide employees' salaries, but not only were the financial dues not sent, but the necessary amount was not even sent for the employees' salaries."

Hawrami added, "The Prime Minister of the region, Masrour Barzani, during the cabinet session, directed the Ministry of Finance to quickly prepare the salary scale to start distributing and fill the deficit."
