Seventh International Conference on Arabic Language and Literature to Kick Off in Madinah on Saturday

Madinah: The Seventh International Conference on Arabic Language and Literature will kick off in Madinah on Saturday under the theme ‘Arabic and Future Horizons.’ The two-day event, held at the Crowne Plaza Madinah, will take place under the auspices of the Saudi Conventions and Exhibitions General Authority.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference includes distinguished academics, researchers, and postgraduate students from 13 countries: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Yemen, Oman, Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, Malaysia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Kingdom, and China.

Chairman of the conference’s organizing committee Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Zahrani indicated that holding this year’s edition in Madinah builds on the successes of previous Arabic language conferences, which received wide resonance and strong participation.

He stated that the organizing committee received more than 52 scientific papers in addition to several research posters showcasing projects, initiatives, and successful experiences. The scientific committee approved 35 papers and 10 research posters, which will be presented across 10 scientific sessions scheduled in the conference program.

Moreover, he pointed out that supporting the Arabic language and strengthening its presence in the global linguistic landscape are among the key priorities of Saudi Vision 2030, noting that previous conferences have drawn the attention of researchers and specialists from various Arab and international countries.
