Jubail: President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu Eng. Khalid Al-Salem inaugurated the ‘Hayat Square’ urban project in Jubail Industrial City on Monday. This initiative is part of the commission’s vision to transform industrial cities into smart and thriving urban centers.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ‘Hayat Square’ project spans a total area of more than 9,400 square meters and features the ‘Hayat Fountain’, which covers 2,230 square meters. The fountain is equipped with advanced technologies that could qualify it for a potential world record, boasting 1,536 nozzles of 13 different types, approximately 388 pumps, and 613 light projectors.
Eng. Khalid Al-Salem highlighted the distinct technological and artistic elements of the project, including a large water screen, measuring 24 meters in width and 8 meters in height. This screen is integrated with an advanced projection system for visual shows, accompanied by a mist system synchronized with the fountain displays.
The project also includes a high-quality sound system with 16 speakers, approximately four outdoor display screens each covering 35 square meters, and a modern lighting system featuring over 460 units and contemporary light poles. The square’s design and visual identity were crafted to offer a unique aesthetic experience, incorporating more than 140 pieces of urban furniture, such as benches, seating areas, and shades.
