Riyadh: The Saudi National Institute of Health (Saudi NIH) announced the launch of ‘Trial Share,’ a clinical trial data-sharing system in the Kingdom, as part of its participation in the Global Health Exhibition 2025. The system aims to enhance the efficiency of the clinical trial ecosystem and promote transparency and institutional excellence by collecting and analyzing data related to the approval process. This includes data from research institutions, research ethics committees, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), and clinical trial agreements.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the system also generates periodic reports to monitor the performance of research entities, helping to identify and analyze approval timelines, determine the causes of delays, and address them. The Saudi NIH oversees the system and analyzes its data, enabling the development of policies, issuance of reports, and evaluation of performance. Additionally, it works to create an attractive environment for clinical trials, positioning the Kingdom as a leading regional and global destination for their implementation.
