Saudi Female Falconers Shine at King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival

Riyadh: The King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025 witnessed strong participation by Saudi female falconers, reflecting the Saudi Falcons Club's commitment to preserving ancestral heritage and passing it on to future generations. This commitment is reinforced by encouraging women's participation to empower women and strengthen their role in sustaining the falconry tradition.

According to Saudi Press Agency, women can compete in a category dedicated to them, in addition to having the opportunity to participate in the general categories. The festival has also enhanced its competitions by introducing new categories, creating broader opportunities for participation and competition for titles and prizes. These developments seek to expand the diversity of participants, ensure the continuity of the hobby across generations, and keep pace with the evolving falconry sector, its events, and competitions, ultimately fostering greater societal awareness of the Kingdom's rich heritage.

Falconers from across the Kingdom and from abroad are taking part in the festival, which offers total prizes exceeding SAR38 million, distributed across 1,012 awards over 17 days of competition.
