Riyadh: Saudi Arabia joined countries worldwide in celebrating World Adoption Day, observed annually on November 9, with more than 11,000 Saudi families currently participating in fostering children in the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the association, the only organization authorized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to oversee the national foster care program for orphaned children of unknown parentage, marked the occasion by launching a new campaign. The initiative aims to highlight the compassion and affection shared by foster parents and their children, shedding light on the profound human and social impact of fostering within Saudi society.
