Abidjan: The Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of C´te d’Ivoire, Saad bin Bakhit Al-Qathami, inspected the Makkah Route Initiative hall at Abidjan’s F©lix Houphou«t-Boigny International Airport. He was accompanied by the airport’s Director General, Dr. Aka Manouan.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Makkah Route Initiative aims to facilitate pilgrims’ travel by issuing visas electronically and collecting biometric data. Additionally, all travel procedures are conducted at the departure airports, ensuring that pilgrims have a clean bill of health and that baggage is coded and sorted according to the transportation and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
