Medina: The Agency for Religious Affairs at the Prophet’s Mosque launched yesterday the first version of the “Smart Enrichment Assistant” application to serve visitors and pilgrims during the Hajj season through enriching digital services supported by artificial intelligence technologies in several international languages.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the application was launched at the agency’s headquarters in the presence of the General President of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, and Imam and Preacher of the Prophet’s Mosque and Supervisor of the Religious Experience Enrichment Program and the Libraries and Manuscripts Center, Sheikh Dr. Abdulbari bin Awad Al-Thubaiti.
During the launch, Sheikh Al-Sudais emphasized that the application falls within the framework of the Presidency’s strategy to harness modern technology, smart digital transformation, and artificial intelligence to serve the Two Holy Mosques, adding that the project reflects the message of moderation of the Two Holy Mosques to the world in various languages.
The application offers a range of smart features that meet visitors’ needs, most notably displaying prayer times, a schedule of imams and muezzins, and the times of religious lessons, along with identifying their locations.
