Riyadh to Host Global Occupational Safety and Health Conference in May

Riyadh: Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health Ahmed Al-Rajhi unveiled on Monday the 7th Global Occupational Safety and Health Conference (GOSH7), set to be held in Riyadh from May 4 to 6.

According to Saudi Press Agency, GOSH7 will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh, hosting leaders in the occupational safety and health field from governments, the private sector, and academia, hailing from inside the Kingdom and beyond. It will serve as a scientific platform to discuss the future of occupational safety and health, along with the challenges and opportunities facing global labor markets.

GOSH7 aims to promote a culture of safety and health at work by enabling dialogue around the latest trends and innovations, exploring best practices, and exchanging knowledge. The focus will be on developing policies and preventive measures to support excellence in occupational safety and health, while also highlighting the role of technology in improving workplace environments and enhancing awareness of safety and health practices.

Highlighting the event, Al-Rajhi stated, “The Kingdom is proud to host GOSH7 in Riyadh, where we will discuss critical issues impacting work ecosystems and work on developing ideal frameworks. As the conference has become an important annual event for leaders in occupational safety and health, the Kingdom looks forward to making this edition the most comprehensive yet globally.” He emphasized that GOSH7 represents a milestone in enhancing global dialogue on occupational safety and health, and continuing efforts to improve compliance with established standards in this field at both regional and global levels.
