Medina: The Library of the Prophet's Mosque, a prominent academic institution, serves researchers, students, and visitors of all nationalities, providing access to its rich collection of over a quarter of a million digital titles and a wide range of publications spanning classical and contemporary fields of knowledge.
According to Saudi Press Agency, located within the mosque, the library encompasses more than 70 major academic fields, branching into hundreds of subfields and disciplines. Among the most prominent are the sciences of the Holy Quran, Hadith, Arabic language, history, and Islamic arts, alongside numerous other academic areas, allowing researchers and students to access a wealth of resources.
It features reading rooms and advanced electronic search and cataloging services, facilitating access to diverse sources, including digital copies of books and scholarly publications.
The library, which dates back more than 100 years, has undergone renovation and development to preserve its unique collection of heritage materials, scientific sources, rare manuscripts, and valuable books, as well as endowment books dating back centuries.
Tens of thousands of visitors come to the library each year to draw from its wealth of knowledge, reflecting the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to serve pilgrims and visitors throughout the year.
