Makkah Deputy Governor Leads Hajj, Umrah Committee Meeting

Riyadh: Under the directives of Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region and Deputy Chairman of the committee Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz chaired a meeting of the committee. The meeting reviewed the current Umrah season and the services provided to Umrah performers, from their arrival in Saudi Arabia until their departure for their home countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Prince Saud emphasized the need to strengthen integration among relevant entities and continue developing performance indicators in line with the directives of the wise leadership. He also highlighted the importance of ensuring the highest levels of preparedness for the 1448 AH Hajj season, enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.

The committee reviewed the performance indicators of relevant entities and mechanisms for coordination among sectors involved in Hajj. It also discussed ways to enhance coordination and direct communication among them to support operations and achieve the highest levels of readiness to serve pilgrims.

The committee also discussed plans and arrangements for the 1448 AH Hajj season, along with new projects and services planned to serve pilgrims.
