Mecca: The healthcare system has provided over 147,000 medical services to pilgrims from the start of Hajj 1446 AH until Dhu al-Hijjah 11. These services are part of efforts to enhance service efficiency in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to safeguard pilgrims’ health and facilitate safe and smooth rituals.
According to Saudi Press Agency, healthcare data revealed that over 80,603 pilgrims benefited from primary healthcare centers, while emergency departments received 35,176 cases. Outpatient clinics attended to 7,541 patients, and hospitals admitted 5,619 cases, including 2,626 in intensive care. Additionally, 248 cardiac catheterizations and 18 open-heart surgeries were performed.
The healthcare sector continues to intensify its efforts, utilizing advanced technologies and specialized personnel to create a supportive medical environment that enables pilgrims to complete their rituals with ease and tranquility.
