Riyadh: The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) concluded its 12th eye surgery initiative in Maroua, Cameroon, as part of its humanitarian programs aimed at providing medical care and helping reduce the causes of visual impairment and blindness. The campaign was designed to address the pressing need for eye care services in the region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the medical team conducted 1,169 medical examinations and performed 354 surgeries. This effort is a significant part of WAMY's ongoing mission to deliver medical assistance and improve health outcomes in underserved communities.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the medical services. They thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts in Africa to alleviate the suffering of those in need and improve their living and health conditions. The initiative highlights the importance of international cooperation in addressing health challenges faced by vulnerable populations.
