Madinah Region Governor Launches Campaign to Assess Roads during Hajj

Madinah: Madinah Region Governor Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz launched a campaign to conduct a comprehensive survey and assessment of road networks outside urban areas in the region. Deputy Governor of Madinah Region Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdulaziz and Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads General Authority Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser attended the launch.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the campaign's significance stems from its timing during this year's Hajj season and Madinah Region's role as a key logistics hub serving pilgrims. Over a specified period, the campaign focuses its efforts on Madinah Region's road network, whose total length exceeds 8,184 km, through effective collaboration between community members and relevant government agencies, complementing the authority's periodic survey and assessment work throughout the year.

The campaign's previous edition resulted in more than 100,000 observations being addressed across Saudi Arabia.
