Abu dhabi: The King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority is participating in the World Conservation Congress 2025, organized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Abu Dhabi from October 9 to 15. The congress is bringing together a distinguished group of policymakers, experts, and environmental organizations from across the globe.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority’s pavilion will showcase its key achievements in wildlife protection, habitat restoration, and endangered species reintroduction. It will also highlight smart afforestation projects, advanced biodiversity monitoring technologies, and efforts to foster local community engagement.
CEO of the authority Maher Al-Gothmi said the authority’s participation in this event underscores its dedication to supporting global conservation efforts and showcases the Kingdom’s leadership in safeguarding its natural heritage. He noted, “The World Conservation Congress offers a vital platform for exchanging knowledge with international experts and decision-makers, and adopting the latest innovations in protected area management. This reinforces the Kingdom’s position as a key player in the global movement toward environmental sustainability.”
By engaging in the congress, the authority aims to strengthen its global presence, forge strategic partnerships with leading environmental institutions, and gain access to scientific solutions and green technologies, furthering the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives.
