Madinah: Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh inaugurated maintenance and operational projects for around 800 mosques and prayer halls in the Madinah Region, with a total investment of SAR61 million, raising mosque maintenance coverage to 91%.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the projects included several historical mosques and prominent religious landmarks, such as the Sayyid al-Shuhada Mosque and the Qiblatain Mosque, as well as mosques in AlUla and Yanbu governorates.

The minister emphasized that the efforts in developing and maintaining mosques are made possible through the support and attention of the leadership, who have been keen to utilize all available resources to serve the mosques and their visitors.
