Riyadh: The first session of the International Conference on Conjoined Twins took place here yesterday, and delved into the 35-year journey of conjoined twins in Saudi Arabia, exploring topics such as the embryology of conjoined twins, establishing a multidisciplinary team, prenatal and postnatal care, and pre-separation care for conjoined twins.
According to Saudi Press Agency, prominent figures that took part in the conference were: Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Consultant Pediatric Surgeon and Director of the Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment Program at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center Dr. Saud Al Shenafey, and other experts in various medical specialties from King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital of the Ministry of the National Guard Health Affairs.
