The Civil Defense teams extinguished today, Thursday, a fire that devoured agricultural lands and a house in the Mahawil district, north of Hilla, without casualties.

Director of Civil Defense Media, Aqeel Abdullah, said, "Today, Thursday, civil defense teams were able to extinguish a large fire that consumed agricultural land and a house next to it, without casualties.

He added that the teams were able to prevent the fire from spreading to citizens' homes and property, and that the police opened an investigation to find out its causes.
