Riyadh: Due to popular demand, Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan has extended the Saudi International Handicrafts Week (Banan) Exhibition at Riyadh’s Roshn Front until November 30. The decision came after Prince Badr toured the event, which showcases an array of craft arts, live demonstrations, workshops, interactive experiences, and offers booths for entrepreneurs and businesses, along with a dedicated children’s area.
According to Saudi Press Agency, more than 500 Saudi artisans and participants from 25 countries are actively involved in Banan, providing a unique platform to celebrate traditional crafts, support artisans, and facilitate the sale of their work. The event has been organized by the Saudi Heritage Commission with the aim of raising awareness of handicrafts as a vital component of cultural heritage, while also ensuring their preservation for future generations.
