Baghdad - US President Joe Biden welcomed Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi's diplomatic efforts to hold talks in Baghdad on the Saudi-Iranian rapprochement.

In his speech at the Jeddah summit, President Biden said that America will remain an essential partner in the Middle East.

He added: "Efforts have been made to sign the electrical connection between Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf."
