The Commander of the General Command of the Internal Security Forces in Iran, Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan, today, Saturday, visited Mahran border crossing (in the western province of Ilam).
According to "IRNA", the Iranian leader, during this visit, inspected the latest developments related to strengthening the infrastructure to receive visitors of the Arbaeen visit of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
It added, "The commander of the Iranian Internal Security Forces was briefed on the progress of procedures related to the security situation, traffic and parking garages at the Mahran port, which annually receives the largest percentage of Arbaeen visitors heading to Iraqi territory."
In this context, statistical estimates indicate that Mahran border crossing will receive 60% of the total number of Arbaeen visitors for the current year. It also records daily, at the present time, the crossing of 20,000 pilgrims to and from the holy shrines in Iraq.”
