(14) containers violating import terms and controls seized at the northern port of Umm Qasr

The Border Ports Authority announced the seizure of (14) containers violating import terms and controls in the northern port of Umm Qasr.

It said in a statement, “The Umm Qasr Northern Port Directorate, through accurate information and coordination of work with the Customs Center, was able to seize (13) containers containing unrefrigerated (powdered milk) left inside the yards, and one container containing (water pumps), and all of the materials were in violation of the conditions, and storage and import controls, and exceeding the legal period allowed for it to remain in the port.”

It added, "a formal seizure report was prepared and the materials were referred to the Umm Qasr Customs Police Station to take appropriate legal measures."
