The Yemeni Foreign Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak confirmed today, Sunday, the existence of historical relations of his country with Iraq.

Bin Mubarak said in a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein: "My visit is a prelude to the advancement of bilateral relations, and we have signed a memorandum for political consultation," pointing out that "Iraq played a major role in the Saudi-Iranian agreement."

He explained that "wars remain their effects on peoples even if they stop, and Iraq knows that," noting that "any Iraqi delegation that will visit Yemen will receive special attention."/ End
