Saudi Investment Promotion Authority CEO Concludes Visit to Uzbekistan

Tashkent: CEO of the Saudi Investment Promotion Authority (SIPA) Khaled Alkhattaf and an accompanying delegation concluded a two-day visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, during which they held several meetings and participated in the Tashkent International Investment Forum 2026.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Alkhattaf and the delegation participated in the forum, attended by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, alongside government leaders, decision-makers, representatives of international financial institutions, and investors from more than 100 countries. This participation is part of Uzbekistan's efforts to strengthen its position as a regional center for investment and trade in Central Asia.

The forum focused on priority sectors, including renewable energy, mining and strategic minerals, infrastructure and logistics, the digital economy and artificial intelligence, and public-private partnership projects. These areas were highlighted within a package of investment projects aimed at attracting international investors.

On the sidelines of the visit, Alkhattaf participated in the Saudi-Uzbek Business Council meeting. Here, government officials and company leaders from both countries discussed ways to enhance trade and investment cooperation and expand Saudi investments in Uzbekistan.

He also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov to review economic and investment cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan. Furthermore, discussions with Central Bank Governor of Uzbekistan Timur Ishmetov centered on cooperation in financial technology, digital infrastructure, and data centers.
