According to Saudi Press Agency, environmental observations record a distinct diversity of wildlife, including the Arabian cobra, Arabian red fox, eagle, and grey-headed kingfisher. Native vegetation, including wild juniper, sidr, and acacia, provides food and shelter for wildlife. Seasonal rains between March and September further boost vegetation growth and wildlife activity.
Al-Hashr Mountains form an ecological transition zone between mountainous and Tihama plain environments, making them a site of significant environmental importance that supports sustainability and wildlife conservation goals.
