Dallas: A team from Tuwaiq Academy has joined peers representing the Kingdom at the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas, USA, from May 6 to 14, 2025.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Tuwaiq Academy’s team participation came after it secured first place in the recently concluded VEX IQ Robotics Championship, organized by the Saudi Federation for Robotics and RC Sports, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Tuwaiq Academy.
The participating Saudi teams are set for intense competition in this global championship, especially with the participation of top international teams that bring together the brightest young minds in robotics and AI.
The Kingdom’s participation in the high-tech global competition reflects its progress in technology and innovation. The championship is part of a broader system of programs, projects, and activities aimed at achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in supporting national competencies in science and technology and developing human capabilities.
This championship is an extension of the Saudi Games, held last October for university and youth categories. It includes challenges for children and youth in designing and programming robots using the VEX IQ educational system. The goal is to develop their skills in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) while promoting creative thinking and teamwork and providing an environment that encourages the application of their skills, discovering national talents, and enhancing the technological capabilities of students at both the local and international levels.
