Turaif: Walking has become a daily routine among residents of Turaif during the holy month of Ramadan, particularly in the hour leading up to Iftar, as many seek to maintain their health while fasting.
According to Saudi Press Agency, health specialists note that moderate physical activity during fasting can offer notable benefits, including improved cardiovascular health, enhanced mood, and better overall well-being. Walking is regarded as one of the simplest and most sustainable forms of exercise during Ramadan, as it requires no special equipment and can be easily integrated into daily routines.
With changes in meal timing and dietary patterns during the holy month, many residents have adopted structured programs to help maintain a healthy weight and support physical fitness.
SPA observed groups of citizens and residents walking along the governorate's promenades shortly before sunset. Several participants said they make it a daily habit to walk about an hour before Iftar, citing the moderate weather in Turaif, especially at dusk, as ideal for outdoor activity.
