Transport General Authority Conducts Over 317,000 Inspections in June

Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) conducted over 317,000 inspections across land, sea, and rail transport activities in various cities and regions of the Kingdom in June 2025, identifying a total of 51,143 violations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, of these violations, 27,756 were detected through field inspections, while 23,387 were identified through automated monitoring. The inspections were a collaborative effort involving relevant authorities to ensure compliance with transport regulations.

Compliance rates were robust, with land transport achieving 94% compliance and maritime transport recording an impressive 99%. These figures underscore the strong adherence of licensees to the approved rules and regulations set by the TGA.

Makkah Region reported the highest number of violations, totaling 21,000. This was followed by Riyadh with 13,000 violations, Eastern Region with 4,508, and Madinah with 3,557. Other regions such as Qassim recorded 1,914 violations, Tabuk 1,316, and Aseer 1,073, with the remaining violations distributed across other areas of the Kingdom.
