Thunderstorms to Hit Most Regions of the Kingdom Starting Wednesday

Riyadh: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) warned that most regions of the Kingdom will continue to experience moderate to heavy thunderstorms from Wednesday until next Sunday.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the NCM forecasts moderate to heavy rainfall, intensifying on Thursday, with downward winds stirring dust and sand at speeds of 60 km/h or more. Flash floods and hail are also expected in the Makkah region.

Most governorates of the Madinah Region will experience moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by downward winds stirring dust and sand at speeds of up to 60 km/h, along with flash floods and hail. Similarly, Al-Baha Region will be affected by moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by downward winds stirring dust and sand at speeds of up to 60 km/h, as well as flash floods and hail.

Moreover, most parts of the Aseer Region will experience moderate to heavy rainfall, intensifying on Friday and Saturday, accompanied by downward winds stirring dust and sand at speeds of up to 60 km/h, along with flash floods and hail. Meanwhile, the Jazan Region will see moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by downward winds stirring dust and sand at speeds of up to 60 km/h, as well as flash floods and hail.

Similarly, the Najran Region will be affected by moderate rainfall, accompanied by downward winds stirring dust and sand, along with flash floods and hail. Additionally, the regions of Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, the Eastern, the Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Al-Baha, and Jazan regions will experience light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by active downward winds stirring dust and sand, from Wednesday until next Sunday.

The NCM urged the public to follow its communication channels for updates on weather conditions and affected areas, emphasizing the importance of adhering to instructions from relevant authorities.
