The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the importance of raising the level of bilateral work with Iran to confront climate change.
A presidential statement stated that the President of the Republic received, today, Sunday, at the Baghdad Palace, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq.
During the meeting, the President of the Republic stressed the need to strengthen and develop cooperation between the two countries in a way that serves the interests of the two neighboring peoples.
The President of the Republic indicated, according to the statement, the importance of raising the level of bilateral action that aim to confront climate changes, water scarcity and drought facing the world.
For his part, Ambassador Al Sadiq affirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran's endeavor to strengthen friendly relations with Iraq, calling for opening broader horizons for bilateral cooperation in order to achieve stability and prosperity for the two friendly countries./ End
