The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, met today, Sunday, with the delegation of the International Galawezh Festival, headed by Ibtisam Ismail, head of the center.

In a presidential statement, the president stressed "the importance of the role played by intellectuals of all specializations in educating and developing society in various cultural fields, in a way that contributes to building a civilized, civilized society."

The President of the Republic indicated "the need to support the establishment of cultural, literary and artistic festivals because of their contributions to strengthening relations and rapprochement between different cultures and societies, as well as their human dimension, and in this context he praised the Galawezh International Festival, wishing it and those in charge of it further success and development."

For their part, the members of the delegation "expressed their thanks and appreciation to the president for his continuous support for the cultural and literary movement in the country."

The members of the delegation stressed, "their endeavor to supply the Iraqi arena with various productions that reflect the distinguished cultural heritage of the Kurdistan region and Iraq as a whole."

The delegation extended an invitation to the President of the Republic to attend the annual conference of the International Galawezh Festival.
