The forces of the 41st Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces carried out today, Saturday a pre-emptive security operation in the Tal al-Dhahab area to secure the road between Baghdad and Samarra.

A statement by the Popular Mobilization Authority stated: “The operation included searching and combing the Tal al-Dhahab area to clear it and secure the Baghdad-Samarra road for visitors heading towards the Holy Governorate of Karbala to participate in the Arbaeen visit of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).”

It explained: “The forces of the 41st Brigade are continuing their security operations on an ongoing basis to survey and search the areas falling within its sector of responsibility in anticipation of preventing any security breach in the region.”
