The Minister Of Industry Visits Indonesia And China To Discuss Prospects For Cooperation In The Field Of Industrial Cities

The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, visited Indonesia and China at the head of a ministerial delegation that included a number of general directors and officials in the ministry in response to an official invitation.

A statement by the Ministry of Industry and Minerals stated: “The Minister began his visit by holding a joint meeting with the management of the Chinese company (TSINGSHAN) to discuss the possibility of opening horizons for joint cooperation in the field of industrial cities. During the meeting, a detailed presentation was given about the industrial city in the Indonesian city of Morwali, which was implemented by the Chinese company, which includes a number of industrial laboratories specialized in the field of iron and steel manufacturing and other strategic industries. The possibility of benefiting from the Chinese company’s expertise in establishing and managing industrial cities in Iraq was also discussed.

According to the statement, the Minister urged the Chinese company to take advantage of the investment opportunities announced by the Ministry in the field of the sulfur industry and the opportunities available in the field of industrial city projects hoped to be established on the new development path and to enter into the opportunities offered within the project to establish the economic city between Iraq and Jordan.
