The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakak, announced the establishment of several industrial and tourism projects in Nineveh.
Al-Fakak told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that "the city of Mosul will witness the establishment of tourism projects, including the construction of two giant hotels, in addition to the establishment of a new corniche project on the Tigris River in the Mosul forest area in order to develop the tourism reality.
Al-Fakak added, "The province is in the process of establishing new, large and advanced industrial cities to be added to the industrial cities located within the provinces of Nineveh and Mosul, in addition to the presence of other development projects that will be again within the city of Mosul."
Al-Fakak stated that "the province of Nineveh lacks such projects, and the reason is due to the destruction that befell it at the hands of the worst terrorist organization that destroyed the infrastructure and industrial and tourist sites inside the city of Mosul, in addition to the place of quotas and political rivalry in Nineveh, which is also a major reason for Mosul's lack of these projects
