The House of Representatives finishes reading of four laws

The House of Representatives held its second session of its second legislative term for the second legislative year within the fifth electoral cycle, headed by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandlawi, and in the presence of 171 MPs today, Monday. It finished the first reading of four draft laws.

At the outset of the session, which was opened by Shakhwan Abdullah, Vice-President of the Council, the members of the Council completed the first reading of the National Intelligence Service draft law submitted by the Security and Defense Committee to establish the National Intelligence Service and organize its tasks and specializations to advance its role in protecting and ensuring the security and safety of Iraq in a manner consistent with human rights and freedoms and the formation of courts the device and in order to establish a fund to support and care for the wounded and the families of the martyrs and the disabled among the employees of the device.

The Council finished the first reading of the draft anti-terrorism law, submitted by the legal, security, defense and human rights committees, to limit the commission of terrorist crimes and combat them and confront the dangers resulting from them to the stability of security and their threat to the rule of law and the consequent sabotage of economic and social structures and damage to public and private money and protect the right of citizens to their lives and money, unify the punitive legal provisions related to these crimes and expand their scope to achieve the required deterrence.

The Council completed the first reading of the Army Aviation College draft law submitted by the Security and Defense Committee, to establish a specialized College for Army Aviation that specializes in preparing and preparing pilot officers, air sects and specialized technicians to command and work on army aviation aircraft in its formations and units, in order to grant them the required certificate, rights and privileges in the category of army aviation in line with the development in the military fields.

The Council concluded the first reading of the draft law ratifying the agreement to exempt holders of diplomatic, service and private passports from the entry visa between the governments of Iraq and the Russian Federation, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee, to strengthen the bonds of friendship and mutual relations between Iraq and the Russian Federation and to facilitate diplomatic, service and private travel from the entry visa between the two governments.

The Presidency of Parliament decided to adjourn the session to next Thursday.
