TGA Urges Use of Licensed Transport Operators as New Academic Year Begins

Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) stressed the importance of dealing with duly licensed and authorized transport operators in the educational transport sector as the new academic year begins, emphasizing that the safety of students is a priority in regulating the sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the TGA urged parents to use regulated and licensed educational transport services available to beneficiaries through various means and options, and to avoid dealing with unlicensed transport operators, whose practices may pose risks to the safety of male and female students.

It noted that licensed buses have several features that enable beneficiaries to identify them, including a yellow plate, a stop arm on both sides of the bus, a customer service contact number, and the license number, operating card number, and bus number of the service provider displayed on the front and rear of the bus.

The TGA continues its regulatory oversight of the educational transport sector as the new academic year begins, ensuring compliance with the laws, regulations, and requirements, monitoring violations, and taking the necessary regulatory measures.
