Riyadh: The Saudi Post (SPL), in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), issued a commemorative stamp and a postcard to celebrate the Kingdom’s 95th National Day. The stamp is valued at SAR3 and the postcard at SAR5.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative aligns with the national slogan “Our Pride is in Our Nature” and honors the Kingdom’s unification by King Abdulaziz, celebrating the nation’s history. The first Saudi stamp was issued in 1352 AH to mark the appointment of King Saud as Crown Prince. Today’s Saudi stamps feature a “security feature” to prevent counterfeiting and protect intellectual property.
The SPL regularly issues stamps to commemorate prominent national and international events, including cultural, artistic, and sporting occasions. Each stamp captures a significant moment, making them valuable to stamp collectors and historians alike.
