Slovenian Falconry Farm Sells Entire Production at International Falcon Breeders Auction

Riyadh: A Slovenian falcon breeding farm made a strong debut at this year's International Falcon Breeders Auction in Malham, north of Riyadh. It sold all of its falcons bred and displayed on the first day of its participation. The achievement reflects the strong demand for the auction and growing confidence among falconers and those interested in breeding and acquiring falcons.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Slovenian farm, participating for the first time, brought 23 falcons to the auction. The farm's representative Abdullah Al Buainain said all the falcons on display were sold on the first day, noting that the selection included pure Gyrfalcons and Gyrfalcon hybrids. He commended the National Center for Falcons for its efforts to serve breeders and falconers.

He described sales activity as excellent, saying it reflected the quality of the falcons on offer and the standing of participating farms within the falconry community.

The Slovenian farm's experience highlights how the auction has become a trusted marketplace connecting breeders with falconers in a professional environment characterized by organization and transparency. The auction gives international farms access to a broad range of buyers while offering falconers diverse choices of breeds, characteristics, and falcons from breeding farms around the world, all in one location.

The International Falcon Breeders Auction continues to attract falcon breeding farms from around the world and is held over 21 days. It has become the world's largest event of its kind, bringing together leading falcon breeds internationally and serving as an annual destination for falconers and breeders, reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts to preserve the historic falconry heritage and strengthen its cultural and economic presence.
