Security Patrols Arrest Two Indonesian Residents in Makkah over Fake Hajj Services Fraud

These individuals, who were apprehended for their illicit activities, had been using social media platforms to post misleading advertisements that falsely claimed to offer legitimate Hajj services. During the arrest, authorities discovered that the suspects were in possession of forged Hajj cards and various tools utilized in their fraudulent operations. Following their detention, legal proceedings were initiated, and the individuals were subsequently referred to the Public Prosecution for further action.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Public Security department has reiterated the importance of adhering strictly to the established regulations and instructions governing the Hajj pilgrimage. They have emphasized the critical need for the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to Hajj services. Residents and visitors in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern regions are encouraged to report any violations by dialing 911, while those in the rest of the Kingdom should use the 999 hotline to ensure prompt action against any fraudulent activities.
