Saudi Teams Streamline Hajj Procedures for Pilgrims Through Makkah Route Initiative in Rabat

Rabat: Through its dedicated terminal at Rabat-Sale International Airport, the Makkah Route Initiative is built on institutional coordination, streamlined digital procedures, and the efforts of qualified Saudi personnel, aiming to facilitate the journey of pilgrims traveling from Rabat, Morocco, to perform Hajj rituals.

According to Saudi Press Agency, personnel participating in the Makkah Route Initiative work to complete pilgrims' procedures in their home country before departure, including verifying biometric data, issuing boarding passes, tagging and sorting baggage, and finalizing passport procedures.

The Ministry of Interior has been implementing the initiative for the eighth year since its launch in 2017. Since then, the initiative has served 1,254,994 pilgrims.
