Riyadh: The Saudi Lacrosse Federation has announced the appointment of its Interim Board of Directors for the 2024-2028 term, following the approval of Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal. According to Saudi Press Agency, the appointment represents a significant step in the Federation's pursuit to enhance its governance framework and accelerate the development of lacrosse in the Kingdom. This initiative aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the ongoing expansion of the Saudi sports sector. The Interim Board of Directors includes Fahad Mohammed Almoamar as Chairman, Samer Nahed Al-Sourani as Vice Chairman, and Alhanouf Mohammed Al-Hudhaif, Esraa Mansour Asiri, Faisal Fawaz Al-Alamy, Mishari Abdulrahman Al-Assailan, and Saud Mabrouk Al-Abdulaziz as Board Members. The newly appointed Board is tasked with leading the Federation's next phase of growth by expanding participation across the Kingdom, enhancing technical a nd administrative excellence, strengthening national teams across all age categories, and creating sustainable pathways for talent identification and athlete development. Additionally, the Board will concentrate on increasing community engagement, promoting youth and women's participation, establishing strategic partnerships with public and private sector stakeholders, and further solidifying Saudi Arabia's presence within the regional and international lacrosse community.
