Kuwait City: A delegation from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) visited the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializations (KIMS) on Tuesday to coordinate the implementation of an agreement signed during the Global Health Exhibition held in Riyadh in October. The agreement aims to advance medical personnel development and foster the exchange of expertise in the healthcare field.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Kuwaiti Minister of Health Ahmed Al-Awadhi and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Secretary-General of KIMS Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi met with CEO of the Health Academy Ahmed Alshamrani to discuss strengthening collaboration in various areas. Topics included enhancing cooperation in healthcare training, board programs, fellowships, program accreditation, and training centers.
Additionally, the discussions covered collaboration on initiatives by the Health Academy and the Health Leadership Academy, as well as professional development and the Saudi professional practice licensur
e exams. The two parties also explored the possibility of conducting joint research projects to advance medical knowledge, improve the efficiency of healthcare professionals, and elevate the quality of healthcare services in both countries.
The delegation held several meetings and conducted a field visit to Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Hospital to assess the readiness of accredited medical personnel training centers in Kuwait.
